About Digital Signatures

Occasionally our users ask us about digital signatures. A digital signature is a form of document approval that is the legal equivalent of a signature on a paper document. In many ways, a digital signature is better than a signature on a paper document because it's more difficult to forge a digital signature.

You can circulate documents for signature approval using Approver.com. You can do this by preparing your document using the digital signature features of Adobe PDF, then uploading the document to Approver.com to present it to others.

You can learn more about the digital signature features of Adobe PDF on the Adobe web site.

It's been the case for many years that digital signatures are the legal equivalent of a signed paper document according to law in the United States, the EU and many other countries.
